Comfortable base for 1 night. Thoughtful, amicable people working here. Cosy and warm room with a good shower. Breakfast with delicious fresh bread and croissants, for example. Location - incredible next to the restaurant, the village, and the mountain.
No reception at all.

The rooms at La Vieille Auberge are cozy and comfortable, with a homely feel that made me instantly relaxed. I loved having a work desk in my room, perfect for catching up on emails or planning my day ahead.
Personally, I found the soundproofing in the rooms to be a bit lacking. But hey, some people might enjoy the lively atmosphere!

This place had such amazing value for money, and the hotel itself was so comfy and cozy. The fact that they had a garage for our motorbike was mind-blowing! The location was perfect, right on the main road and close to some awesome roads for biking. And let's not forget the cable car nearby - totally jaw-dropping! The restaurant had a limited menu, but every meal was super tasty and the cheese board was out of this world! The manager was so friendly and even offered to stay up late to check us in. this place felt like a home away from home with its warm and welcoming atmosphere. Definitely the best hotel on our trip!

The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel itself was charming and well-maintained, with clean and cozy rooms. We also appreciated the secure parking for our bike/motorbike, which gave us peace of mind. the hotel's location was perfect for exploring the surrounding areas, with easy access to stunning mountain roads and the nearby cable car for breathtaking views.
There were a few downsides to our stay. The beds were quite firm, which made it a little difficult to get a good night's sleep.

my recent stay in vars was amazing, but La Vieille Auberge took it to another level. the staff was incredibly friendly and the restaurant served excellent food. the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the best part was gazing at the breathtaking starry sky through the shutters at night.
Poor lighting in the room.

The hotel itself was cute and cozy, and everything was clean. We especially loved the location in the middle of the village, with easy access to transportation. The staff was jolly and friendly, making us feel right at home. The breakfast was delicious, and we appreciated the hotel facilities, including the free garage for bikes and motorbikes.
Can't think of anything.

I had the pleasure of staying at a lovely ski lodge in the breathtaking Alps. The atmosphere was lively and filled with enthusiastic middle-aged cyclists and motorcyclists, creating a vibrant community. The restaurant, the only option in the charming hamlet of Var, exceeded my expectations with its excellent set course meals, offering great value. The selection of wines was both affordable and of high quality. My room, though not luxurious, was clean and had a refreshing shower, perfect for a comfortable overnight stay. And the highlight of my stay? Opening the shutters at night and being captivated by the awe-inspiring starry sky.

So close to the ski lifts I practically fell out of bed onto the slopes, and they were kind enough to feed me delicious regional dishes.
I didn't appreciate the inconvenience of having a bathroom door that was more like a restroom stall. Privacy, who needs it?
